Requirements
for membership:
Individual
businesses must:
-
Be a licensed
Washington business with adequate liability insurance,
-
Be an active member of
S.O.D.A. (fee covered by monthly donation),
-
Donate a minimum of
$30 a month to S.O.D.A. through the MPDWA,
-
Attend S.O.D.A. work
parties for park maintenance and improvements,
-
In addition to
cleaning up after the dogs in their care; members will spend time each
visit poop scooping, keep record on individual time sheets, and turn
records into the MPDWA,
-
Attend MPDWA monthly
scheduled park work parties which entail scooping poop, cleaning &
maintaining the bulletin boards, and filling holes inside the Marymoor
OLA,
-
Follow the “Rules
While at the Park”, and
-
Take on an active role
in supporting the MPDWA:
Examples: promote a good
image & role model for other park users and dog walkers, spread the word to
the public and invite new businesses to join MPDWA, attend meetings,
participate in our forum, and volunteer to help or head the following MPDWA
activities or groups:

Rules While at
the Park:

Do responsible
poop-scooping,
-
Keep their group of
dogs under voice command,
-
Prescreen playgroup
dogs,
-
Stop bothersome dog
behavior immediately,
-
Park in the North East
parking lot, Lot G,
-
Keep dogs from digging
holes,
-
Maintain
professionalism, keep their group moving, avoid distractions i.e. cell
phones, idle chatting, or anything that takes attention away from
charges,
-
Be respectful of all
users of the off-leash area including other dog walkers,
-
Keep dogs out of the
off-limit areas, such as fenced areas along the river, soccer fields,
pea patch garden, and areas of re-growth,
-
Avoid the general
population whenever possible, i.e. stay out in the large fields, use
the larger water accesses, avoid large groups of people and steer away
from young children and timid or little dogs.

Ads on the bulletin
boards should be no larger than 8 ˝ x 11, one per board & avoid
excessive staples, and
-
Adhere to all S.O.D.A.
